BRAD PAISLEY

DIERKS BENTLEY

DARIUS RUCKER

ME, MOM, AND RE!

This past weekend I got to follow my dream... I saw BRAD PAISLEY. OMG he was sooooo awesome. Words can't explain how exciting this night was for me. I got to see the most amazing man in the world with some of my favorite people. I didn't really know Darius Rucker very well, but he did AWESOME. I didn't think I knew much of Dierks Bentley's song. Surprisingly, I knew every one of them. He is steaming hot. But BRAD, oh Brad, he was just the best thing I have ever seen in my life. He sang "When I get where I'm going" and I cried... I love that song. He also sang every song that I love. I think he knew I was there and knew what I would like.. I am smitten. I don't think there is anything that could top this night for me.
I am excited because Friday... I AM GOING ON A DATE.... We have tickets to JEWEL (another one of my favorites) at the RIVERWIND casino. I plan on gambling just a little and hanging out with Jason. It will be AWESOME FUN.. I can't wait. I am all smiles these days.

Dance Recital and Karate Performance

Jaden had her dance recital... She did such a wonderful job. One of the funny things that happened was she told her teacher that she had a booger... She is such a doll... :)

At Andrew's Karate performance, he did an awesome job. I was so proud of him. He told me "I got embarrassed..." The funny thing is he clowned around the whole time. After the first song he fell face first (like he was passing out) then the rest of his class did too. It got everyone laughing. He is NOT a shy boy.

Incredible Pizza!

Today was went to Incredible Pizza. It was a lot of fun. We went to a place similar to it in Austin and the kids loved it. I love going places as a family. We all have such a wonderful time. The cool thing was there was this area with vacuum type tubes that up put balls in and then it spit them out at you. The kids played there most of the time, and it didn't cost anything. After playing hard this afternoon, we came home and Jason went to work. I am now making a casserole and the kids are watching "The Pirates who don't do anything" VeggieTales movie. They really like it. We will probably turn in early because nothing is on TV and I am pretty much caught up on house work.

Oh and Andrew just drew me a picture of a penguin. He has on a flower hat with funny ears and flowers in his pockets. It is the silliest penguin I have ever seen. I love it when he draws me pictures.

Family time!

I love days like today. We had a fun family day. I think we have finally figured out how to go to the mall without a bunch of tears. Andrew doesn't like to shop and Jade likes to shop too much. She is very picky and already picks out her clothes. The problem is she doesn't know how to look at the price tag and I have to tell her "No" a lot. However, today we did it with little tears. I told the kids before we went to Sooner Mall that if they where good, we would let them play in the play area. So every time they whimpered, we just mentioned the play area. I think from now on that is how I am going to shop. Bribing is the best thing right now.. I don't know if it is right or not, but it sure worked today.

Sunday

Today we woke up and went to church.... The service was one I hopefully will never forget. It was called 30 days to live. Our preacher asked the questions, "What if you only had 30 days left to live?" "Are you living for the right reasons?" Then he read a scripture that said your time on earth is only a mist or vapor compared to that in eternity. It has had me thinking all day. I don't know if I live for the right reasons, but I am going to try to for the rest of my life. After church we went to eat at my favorite place Pei Wei and then took the kids to Petco (mini zoo)... We got a kick out of the hamsters on the wheel. Of course Andrew wanted a lizard, a fish, and a hamster. He didn't get one, but he wanted it badly. Jade wanted a turtle. After that it was nap time. When we woke up Jason had to go to work and I started taking down the Christmas stuff. Since New Years is coming up, I guess I should start thinking about my resolutions. So far they are to read the entire bible, loose weight, and live right. Our preacher said that you should always ask yourself "Will this matter 100 years from now" when you are upset or having a hard time. I hope I ask this question and never forget the true reason for living.

Looking Back!!!

December 23 - Christmas Eve Eve - Today we started the day off with me cooking breakfast and the guys rushing off to the casino. John, Jason, and Frank all went, but I think Jason was the only one who ended up with an extra $30.00. After they got home we got ready to go eat at Panera Bread, which is Kailey and Savannah's favorite place to eat. Then we went to church. The 3D experience was awesome. They played some awesome songs and then had a wonderful service. After church we came home and let the kids open 2 gifts each kid got a sleeping bag set and a fur berry and then we let them watch Horton Hears a Who.

December 24 - Christmas Eve - This was my day of cooking.... I woke up and went to the grocery store with Savannah. When I got home we started baking. We didn't finish baking until almost midnight. We made a apple pie and Savannah made a cherry pie.. (the first time I have ever made a pie). I also made a coffee cake, some pumpkin muffins, and a lemon birthday cake for Jesus. Oh and you can't forget the sugar cookies for Santa.. We also sprinkled reindeer food out on the lawn so that they would stop at our house and then we tucked the kids into bed. After the kids went to bed. Savannah and I did a bible study on Mary. I found it through my church. It was neat to watch it and read the verses.

December 25 - Christmas Day - Today I got up extra early and got ready.. I knew it was going to be a busy day. Jason woke up with me even though he had to work the day before from 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. We sat down to drink coffee and he said "I have something from you in my pocket." I got really excited and he gave me a little box.. It was .25K diamond earrings... I haven't gotten diamonds that much in my life so I was so excited I didn't know what to say.. Soon after that the kids started waking up.. They came down stairs and noticed that nothing had changed under the tree.. Man, they got worried... Later I asked them to look at the stockings.. They were missing and the cookies and milk had gone missing too. Then they noticed a sign on the fireplace that said "Garage" The kids ran for the door and that is where they found their brand new cars... It was pretty exciting. The ran in and opened the stocking they found in the garaged and then started opening gifts. After they opened their gifts the adults opened ours. I got an orange Rachel Ray cookware set, two cast iron skillets, some utensils, and some clothes from John and Savannah. From Jason I got a bunch of clothes, some boots, and a mixer. After that we ate a Christmas Breakfast Casserole I had prepared the night before. Then I started cooking lunch for everyone. Frank and Cindy came over to eat with us and we had a wonderful time watching the kids ride their cars after lunch. They are really bad drivers.

December 26 - The day to shop - I decided that since I got so spoiled I really didn't need the mixer Jason got me, so I took it back to the mall. This wasn't the best idea for me to have since it was the day after Christmas. The traffic was horrible and the parking lot was full. We did survive... Later that evening we went to eat at Olive Garden and shopped at Super Target..

December 27 - The day to rest - Today John, Savannah, and Kailey went home. The kids where sad most of the day. I was so tired. I stayed up too late last night. Jason had to work until 2 a.m. and Savannah and I stayed up until he got home. Then he and I decided to stay up and talk until 4 a.m. I have done pretty much nothing all day and it has felt pretty good.

I had a wonderful Christmas. Tomorrow I will probably take down my tree and hopefully get the house clean. :)

Christmas Eve Eve

Today we are just chillin'. I think it is the calm before the storm. We are going to the 3D Christmas special at church tonight. Our kids have so many presents that we have started opening them slowly. We figured it would be ok to go ahead and get started. Tomorrow is my day of baking. I will probably start early and finish late tomorrow night.
